Ferome Brown is the founder of Urban Youth Conservation and the executive director at BL Consulting. Ferome, and his team have been boots on the ground working with the community in Minneapolis to stop gun violence and advocating for young, incarcerated men. Urban Youth Conservation has developed a unique curriculum called “Change Your Mindset” that has helped incarcerated men build their social-emotional awareness and plan their next steps to help them smoothly transition back into society.

Through Ferome’s work, he has been recognized by The U.S. Attorney’s Office for Pursuit of Justice Award, The Minneapolis Police Department Community Leadership Award, the Sexual Violence Center Radical Vision Award, And Outstanding Leadership by Black Business Enterprises MN … He has spoken at many conferences involving Racial Bias in Education in St. Cloud, MN, One Foot in and One Foot out conference in Rochester, MN and the Black Student Union at the University of Minnesota. Ferome has helped over 5,000 men to this day.
